9/11
Where were you? Where was I?
We were living in Millbrook, AL at the time and I was on the phone with mySherry, didn't even have the TV on so knew nothing, it was surreal watching the second crash.
Our assignment prior to moving to AL in February had been the Pentagon so our families fielded several calls as to whether MIB was still there and affected by the events, thankfully, that answer was no, however, he knew the area well...
My thoughts today are on that day just 7 years ago. The forever changed moment that certainly has forever changed our life as Americans and for us our life in blue. Many a prayer has gone out for those who were injured and for the families of those who perished who are also forever changed. I pray that they are doing well in spite of these tragic events, that they have found a comfort and a joy in their life and that they are able to live again, though forever changed. It happened, it was horrible, and we should not, cannot forget that day or those who died.
